Alex Bokor's practice includes litigation, commercial matters, and providing counsel to a wide range of County boards and committees. Alex also acts as counsel to Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works, the Property Appraiser's Office, the Tax Collector's Office and the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
As a litigator, Alex has been lead or co-lead counsel in multiple jury and bench trials, and obtained verdicts, summary judgment, and settlements favorable to the County in both state and federal court. In his capacity as counsel for Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works. Alex represents the County's interests in integrating transit into groundbreaking projects including Brickell City Centre and other transit-oriented developments. Alex's transit experience also includes procurement-related matters and administrative hearings and appeals. In his representation of the Property Appraiser and Tax Collector, Alex specializes in matters related to government exemption, condominium taxation, and substantial completion.
Prior to joining the County Attorney's Office, Alex was a litigation associate with Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton in Coral Gables, Florida, and Jones Day in New York, New York. While in private practice, Alex was either lead co-counsel or part of multiple trial teams that obtained favorable results for the firm's clients including several Fortune 500 companies. Alex also was counsel in two class actions, resulting in either settlements or awards favorable to the class.
