Mulberry Tree
Description: Fast growing tree with spreading cascading crown. Produces red-purple edible fruit in the spring, which can stain. This tree attracts birds.
Size: Typically 15-30 feet.
Location: Plant at least 10 feet from power lines, and 10-16 feet from your house. Requires full sun.
Salt tolerance: Low
Watering: Water during planting and for one year thereafter. Usually doesn't need additional watering after one year.
Fertilization: Do not fertilize until 6 months after planting. Call 305-248-3311 ext. 228 for fertilizing information specific to your tree.
Pruning: Wait one year to prune if it is needed. Remove tree stake after planting.
