The Poll Worker Post

Supervisor of Elections' Message

Dear Proud Poll Worker,

We are just weeks away from Election Day, November 5th! There is so much voter enthusiasm surrounding a Presidential Election from voters, candidates, political parties, and activist groups. As a result, there is an equal amount of excitement here at Elections Headquarters. This keeps us motivated every day!

Vote by mail ballots are being mailed out and received daily; we are getting ready for in-person Early Voting to begin on October 21st; Election Day poll worker training is winding down - and before we know it, you will be setting up your polling place on Monday, November 4th getting ready for Election Day! Can you also feel the excitement?

I hope you know we appreciate the support you provide us with every election, but your dedication to serving voters in this Presidential Election deserves more gratitude than ever. This will be a historic election, no doubt, and you will serve such a critical role in it. Applying your knowledge, customer service skills, and experience at the polls in a high turnout election contributes to voter confidence and that is so important right now.

And I hope you feel the same pride I do by facilitating democracy for Miami-Dade voters. Doing so makes you a dedicated public servant who gives Election Day voters a voice. Thank you for this! Simply put, we could not do it without you.

As an ambassador for the Elections Department, we ask for your help in providing the tips on the next page to your friends and family. Following these recommendations will help improve their voting experience tremendously.

These tips are for you as well. Don’t forget to request your vote by mail ballot immediately and return it timely or take advantage of Early Voting. I think we can agree you will be pretty busy on Election Day! Get your vote in now!

Again, we thank you and wish you the best of luck at the polls. You got this! If anything at all arises that you are unsure of, please immediately call Election Central using the Telephone Information Sheet for assistance. We are here to help you throughout the day. We are in this together!
