Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works 2023 New Year's Eve schedule
As 2023 draws to close, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) wants to ensure riders and the community-at-large are aware of its schedule of services.
On Sunday, December 31, 2023, Metrorail and Metromover will operate extended service until 2:00 a.m. with Green and Orange Line trains running every 30 minutes.
On Monday, January 1, 2024, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
On December 31 and January 1, Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule.
For those attending celebrations in Downtown Miami on New Years Eve, the last northbound and southbound trains will depart from Government Center Station at approximately 2:00 a.m. Entry to Metrorail stations will not be permitted after 2:00 a.m., only exiting.
Parking facilities at Metrorail stations will remain open through the following day, Monday, January 1, 2024, until 3:00 a.m.
All Miami-Dade County offices will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024, including all DTPW administrative offices, Customer Service offices, the Golden Passport office at the Stephen P. Clark Center, Lost and Found and Contact Center.
Special Transportation Services (STS) will not be impacted by this county-observed holiday and will run regular service. STS customers can call the STS reservation number (305-871-1111) to reserve or cancel an STS trip.
Transit riders who prefer to access services online can purchase or reload an EASY Card in the Transit Store or the Go-Miami Dade app or use contactless payments to pay for fares. Customers can also submit a new application for a Golden Passport EASY Card on DTPW’s Golden Passport online page.
For additional information about transit services, visit DTPW’s website or download the GO Miami-Dade Transit app. Follow DTPW on social media on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
