Sustainable Solid Waste Campus Information
Following up from the Sustainable Solid Waste Campus town hall, here are some items you can review regarding plans for the County’s future of waste management.

Two Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) recycling routes may not be completed today, Friday, September 27.  The approximate boundaries of the affected areas are:

Route 1
North – SW 42nd St
South – SW 47th St
East – SW 142nd Ave 
West – SW 162nd Ave

Route 2
North – SW 68th Ln 
South – Kendale Lakes Blvd
East – SW 137th Ave
West –SW 154th Ave

DSWM's contracted vendor will complete the areas first thing tomorrow morning, Saturday, September 28, beginning at 7 a.m. If you were affected, please ensure your blue recycling cart is at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Please be advised that the Resources Recovery Facility located at 6990 NW 97th Avenue in Doral is not accepting garbage or trash deliveries until further notice. You may use the other system facilities listed below:

  • North Dade Landfill
    21500 NW 47th Avenue (Trash only)
    Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • South Dade Landfill
    23707 SW 97th Avenue (Garbage and Trash)
    Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Northeast Transfer Station*
    18701 NE 6th Avenue (Garbage and Trash)
    Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Central Transfer Station*
    1150 NW 20th Street (Garbage and Trash)
    Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • West Transfer Station*
    2900 SW 72nd Avenue (Garbage and Trash)
    Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Medley Landfill
    9350 NW 89th Avenue (Garbage and Trash)
    Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
