TITLE
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO REQUIRE THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE PROPERTY OWNER PRIOR TO CONDUCTING A �DRY RUN� REVIEW OF BUILDING PLANS

BODY
WHEREAS, the Building Department conducts what is commonly referred to as a �dry run� review of building plans, upon payment of an appropriate fee, so that owners, builders, engineers, or other interested parties can ascertain whether certain building plans will be permitted; and
WHEREAS, such dry runs should be conducted by the Building Department only where the property owner has provided his or her written consent by signing the permit application,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Building Department is directed to conduct �dry run� reviews of building plans only when the property owner has provided his or her written consent to such review by signing the permit application.
