REPORT: | Vice Chair Bell noted once she discovered that Miami-Dade County was the only County within the State of Florida charging jurors to park, she immediately started working with the Administration on this item. She further noted the fiscal impact on the County would be approximately $172,000 annually, and this new policy would commence on October 1, 2013 for the next fiscal budget. She said that this item would provide free parking for any visit related to jury duty at the facilities owned and operated by this County, including on site and at Metro Rail stations away from the site. Vice Chair Bell thanked her colleagues for supporting this item. She said that the instructions and information on free parking for jurors would be printed on the jury summons. | ||||||
