Miami-Dade County Internship Program – We Connect, We Thrive

young professionals working

As Miami-Dade County strives to attract and retain the best and brightest in the community, our goal is to engage high school, college and graduate students as they navigate various career pathways and consider prospective employers.

Through the Miami-Dade County Internship Program, we provide college and graduate students meaningful opportunities to learn about the County as a leading organization, gain valuable hands-on work experience and explore future careers in public service all while gaining firsthand insight into the impact Miami-Dade County has on our residents and the community at large.

Students will work alongside seasoned County employees at various levels within the organization to learn about departmental operations, foster intellectual curiosity and grow professionally.

Imagine your future thriving in Miami-Dade County.

Paid opportunities are advertised on the County's Careers website along with other employment opportunities. You can explore and apply to current opportunities online. The application period for summer 2025 internship opportunities is March 1 to March 31. Summer internships will run for 14 weeks, beginning approximately on May 12.
