2015 Assessments Reveal Value Increases, Property Values now Available Online
Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia has released the Miami-Dade County 2015 June 1st Estimates of Taxable Values to the Taxing Authorities. The countywide estimated taxable value for 2015 is $228,667,000,000, an 8.6% increase from 2014.
The real estate market continues last year’s trend that shows the urban core and waterfront neighborhoods are experiencing the largest growth. Areas like Miami, Miami Beach, Bay Harbor Islands, Surfside, Golden Beach, North Bay Village, Key Biscayne and Sunny Isles Beach had the most robust value increases in the county. Furthermore, the western suburbs have also seen some strengthening. Communities like Florida City, Medley, Hialeah Gardens and Opa-Locka have made significant improvements.
The June 1st estimate is provided to the taxing authorities to assist them with their budget preparations. It is important to note that July 1st is the official certification date for the 2015 assessment roll. June 1st is only an estimate, which is subject to change.
Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia stated, “Miami-Dade County continues to grow because of its allure. These market increases are proof that our county continues to attract real estate investors.”
Additionally, Mr. Garcia wants to let all property owners know that the 2015 property values are now available online at www.miamidade.gov/pa.
“I encourage everyone to go to our website and review their property information. My staff is ready to help address any questions they may have regarding their values or exemptions,” said Mr. Garcia.
