The Miami-Dade Police Department South District joins Target stores for the annual Christmas "Shop with a Cop" program. This program was created to provide a positive relationship between South District police officers and the children of the community. The program also provides an opportunity for children to go shopping for gifts for the holidays. Fourteen students will be selected from area district middle schools by the principals based on school performance. Once selected the students and parents will be notified in advance and the child will receive a $100.00 gift card each to be utilized inside the noted Target store location. The schools participating include: Mays Middle School Leisure City K-8 Madarin Lakes K-8 Redland Middle School South Dade Middle School
