(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating a police shooting that involved the City of Doral and Miami-Dade Police Departments and resulted in one person shot.  According to investigators, the subject, Jonathan Oddi, entered the lobby area and began to shout anti-Trump rhetoric before opening fire.  Once shots were fired, patrons and employees were able to exit the area and seek safety.  The subject also activated the fire alarm in efforts to cause further confusion.  Several 911 calls were received in reference to several shots fired.  Officers from the City of Doral and Miami-Dade Police Departments immediately responded and identified the location of the subject.  Without hesitation, the officers engaged the subject and an exchange of gunfire ensued.  The subject was subsequently struck and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported him to Kendall Regional Trauma Center, where he is listed in good condition.  No patrons or employees were injured during the incident; however, a City of Doral police officer sustained a possible wrist fracture.
