Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez extends waiver of lay berth fees for another 30 days in support of PortMiami's cruise partners

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez extends waiver of  lay berth fees for cruise partners that request to berth alongside at PortMiami for an additional 30 days.

On March 13, 2020, Mayor Gimenez announced a waiver of all lay berth fees for home-ported vessels for 30 days, which time period could be amended. (See original press release here.) Effective immediately, this waiver is extended for an additional 30 days through May 12, 2020, subject to availability.  Additionally, the waiver shall apply to any vessel owned by a cruise company that has a berthing agreement or operating agreement with Miami-Dade County.  This time period can be amended further, as needed, at the County’s sole discretion.
