K-12 Discount Program

The K-12 Discount EASY Card can be loaded with a daily, weekly or monthly pass. The $2 cost of the EASY Card is waived for first-time applicants.

• Metrobus and Metrorail: $1.10
• Metrobus Express: $1.30
• Metrobus Shuttle: Free
• 1-Month Pass: $56.25
• 7-Day Pass: $14.60
• 1-Day Pass: $2.80

Students can also add cash value to the card online through Transit Store, by phone or in person at any Metrorail station or sales outlet.

Apply at any Transit Service Center or online by completing the registration form.

Make sure to provide the following information when applying:

• Proof of enrollment
• A current student ID
• Class schedule
• Recent report card

Once the form is complete and submitted, your new K-12 EASY Card will arrive by mail in 15 business days.

Kindergarten through 8th grade students will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when applying for a K-12 EASY Card in person.

Only a student, parent or legal guardian may apply for the K-12 EASY Card.

If the student attends school in Miami-Dade County but his or her parent or legal guardian live in another county, the student can still apply for the K-12 EASY Card.

Teachers, school counselors, principals or other school officials may not apply or obtain a card on behalf of a student.
