Adopting a pet is a long-term commitment and finding the right one for you takes time and research. You can search for pets online at the Animal Services website or go to their shelter.

Animal Cruelty
Animal Services provides Lost and Found services to the public. Pet owners who have lost a pet should come to the shelter every day to see if your pet has been brought in.

Spaying & Neutering
The Humane Society of Greater Miami provides low cost and free spay and neuter services to the public from the Animal Services facility.

Citations & Fines
Failure to pay the civil penalty AND correct the violation(s) within the time specified, will result in accumulative penalties of up to twenty times the civil penalty not exceeding $500.00.

Dog Tags
Every person that owns or keeps any dog over four months of age must obtain a license tag. Dog License Tags are available for purchase at Animal Services locations or your family veterinarian.

The Horse Protection Association of Florida rescues neglected horses and horses whose owners can no longer afford to feed them.

Sea Turtles
Help save the sea turtles by participating in turtle releases during the height of the hatching season.

Alligator Removal
The Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program strives to reduce the threat from alligators to people and their property in developed areas, while conserving alligators in areas where alligators naturally occur.
