Local 4-H youth to hold mock legislature on April 25
(MIAMI, April 7, 2015) – The 4-H District XIII Council will hold a Mock Legislature on April 25, 2015. This event is for youth ages 11-18 and is open to non-4-H members. The Council is comprised of students ages 8-18 from Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
The event will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the University of Florida IFAS Ft. Lauderdale Research and Education Center, in rooms T-103 & T-104. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how a bill becomes law, analyze legislation, sharpen their debating skills and prepare for Florida 4-H State Legislature.
Registration for the event, which includes workshop materials and lunch, is $8. The dress code is business/business casual. The Education Center is located at 3205 College Avenue, Davie, FL.
