Memorial service for Clerk Harvey Ruvin to be held on Jan. 5

MIAMI-DADE – Memorial service for late Miami-Dade County Clerk Harvey Ruvin will take place on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler St, Miami, FL 33135.
The ceremony is open to the public and will include a viewing at 10 a.m. The ceremony will stream live at https://www.youtube.com/@MiamiDadeCounty. In lieu of flowers, the Ruvin Family requests donations be made in memory of Clerk Ruvin to The Miami Foundation. Checks can be made payable to The Miami Foundation with reference to “Harvey Ruvin Memorial Fund” in the note section of the check. Clerk Harvey Ruvin served seven consecutive terms as Clerk of Courts for Miami-Dade County, spanning 30 years. He was first elected to public office in 1968 as Mayor of North Bay Village and later County Commissioner where he addressed environmental and technology issues for over 20 years.
