Chairman Gilbert will present check to seniors organization on March 2

MIAMI-DADE – Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert, III will present a check in the amount of $5,000 on Thursday, March 2, at 11 a.m., to Honeybees & Hornets, Inc. at Kahaz Temple, 500 Fisherman St., Opa-locka, FL 33054.

Honeybees & Hornets, Inc. provides social activities and community volunteer opportunities for adults 55 years old and beyond to enrich the lives of their members and the surrounding community. This funding, advocated by Chairman Gilbert through the Miami-Dade Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-23 budget, will assist the organization in its mission to continue supporting families with education resources, holiday meals and gift baskets, and senior initiatives.
