Seniors to celebrate Black History Month at luncheon hosted by Commissioner Bastien


MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Marleine Bastien is hosting the much-anticipated “Hands That Built a Nation: African Americans and Labor” Black History Month Senior Luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Arcola Lakes Senior Center, 8401 NW 14th Ave., Miami, FL 33147.

This special event will celebrate the profound and enduring contributions of Black Americans to the very foundation of our nation, recognizing their unwavering labor and resilience in shaping our society. Individuals who have made significant contributions to the betterment of our community will also be honored during the luncheon. The honorees are Pastor Carl Johnson, Pastor Richard P. Dunn, William DC Clark, and Lovette McGill.
