Co Street Designation for Spanish Radio Icon, "Lourdes 'D' Kendall" Bertot
MIAMI-DADE – Thursday, Dec. 21, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel Regalado cordially invites members of the media to attend the street designation for Lourdes “D’Kendall” Bertot.
Lourdes Bertot, known for her contributions to Radio Mambi and Univision Radio, left a lasting impact on the community. Born in Havana, Cuba, she came to the United States as a child and spent much of her life in Miami-Dade County.
The street designation ceremony will feature remarks from local officials and members of the Bertot family. “Lourdes embodied the dream of a longtime listener turning her passion into a career as a beloved local radio icon,” said Commissioner Raquel Regalado.
Attendees will witness the unveiling of the street sign marking the newly designated "Lourdes 'D' Kendall" Bertot Street. Media representatives are invited to cover this meaningful event, showcasing the community's recognition of Bertot's significant contributions.
