Vice Chairman McGhee to host 5th Annual MLK Unity Bike Ride & Day of Service Richmond Heights Edition
MIAMI-DADE – Vice Chairman Kionne L. McGhee is continuing the legacy of unity, service, and equality by honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy at the 5th Annual MLK Unity Bike Ride & Day of Service: Richmond Heights Edition, on Monday, Jan. 20, at Sgt. Joseph Delancy Park, 14450 Boggs Drive, Miami, FL 33176. Kickstands will go up at 8 a.m.
In collaboration with the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation, local leaders, and community organizations, the Unity Bike Ride will be routed through key areas of the neighborhood, symbolizing the power of togetherness and collective progress. Following the ride, volunteers will engage in meaningful service projects, including beautifying a local home through gardening, painting, and other revitalization efforts. These activities foster unity and pride within the historic Richmond Heights community.
Vice Chairman McGhee emphasized the importance of service, stating, "True leadership is grounded in service to others. When we come together to uplift our communities, we honor the legacy of Dr. King and create lasting change."
This event is free and open to the public. Participants are required to bring their own bikes and safety wear for the bike ride. Tools and supplies will be provided for the day of service.
