Vice Chairman Rodriguez to host the grand reveal of the MDPD Mounted Patrol Unit’s refurbished stables
MIAMI-DADE – Vice Chairman Anthony Rodriguez is hosting the grand reveal of the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Mounted Patrol Unit’s refurbished stables at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, at the Tropical Park Equestrian Center, 7900 SW 40th St., Miami, FL 33155. He will be joined by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS), Police Officer Assistance Trust (POAT), and the Milton family.
Community members throughout the County are invited to meet the mounted patrol unit and enjoy the unveiling of their stables and workspaces that have recently been refurbished thanks to the Milton family’s generosity.
The Milton family has shown MDPD support for decades. Recently, in coordination with Vice Chairman Rodriguez, the Milton family provided the funds to fully renovate the Mounted Patrol Unit’s stables to create a secure and healthy environment for the horses. The Mounted Patrol Unit has been re-established to serve the community by safeguarding our streets to keep residents protected.
This event creates an amazing opportunity for residents to engage and interact with Vice Chairman Rodriguez and the MDPD to learn about our County’s resources that help ensure our communities’ safety while creating positive experiences.
