Commissioners Anthony Rodriguez and Kionne L. McGhee to take Oath of Office as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners
MIAMI-DADE – Commissioners Anthony Rodriguez and Kionne L. McGhee will be installed as the incoming Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, 1101 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33132.
Chairman Rodriguez and Vice Chairman McGhee were unanimously elected by their colleagues at the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners meeting on Nov. 20 to serve two-year terms until the end of 2026. Chairman Rodriguez will be sworn-in by Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives Daniel Perez.
The County Commissioners who won their respective elections this year will also be sworn-in during the installation ceremony. These officials include Vice Chairman McGhee, representing District 9; Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, III, representing District 1; Commissioner Keon Hardemon, representing District 3; Commissioner Eileen Higgins, representing District 5; Commissioner Raquel A. Regalado, representing District 7; Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez, representing District 11; and Sen. René García, representing District 13.
