MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Two District 12 schools that recently received a national award for academic excellence will be honored at the Oct. 20 Miami-Dade County Commission meeting at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st St.
District 12’s County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz will present a proclamation to Doral Academy Charter Middle School Principal Carlos Ferralls and Mater Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy Principal Judith Marty. Both schools are recipients of the 2015 National Blue Ribbon School award and will be honored at a recognition ceremony in Washington, D.C., in November.
