Commissioner Diaz to host annual Christmas Celebration for District 12 seniors

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz’s annual Christmas Celebration for seniors living in District 12 will take place TODAY, December 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel, East Hall, 711 NW 72nd Avenue. The event is always a treat for seniors who particularly enjoy the company of the famous Latin soap opera stars and musicians who come to celebrate with them. 

The celebrities who participate in this event donate their time and always look forward to visiting and dancing with the elderly. Latin stars who have participated in this annual event have included Emilio Estefan, Arquímedes Rivero, Norma Zúñiga, Yull Burkle, Eduardo Ibarrola, Claudia Reyes, Henry Zakkra, Carlos Yuti, Víctor Cámara, Beatriz Monroig, Paloma Márquez, Jorge Lávat, Rebeca Manrique, Elluz Peraza, Jorges Reyes, Gabriela Borges, singer Eduardo Antonio and Lili Estefan of El Gordo y La Flaca.

In addition to lunch and celebrity appearances, seniors also will receive small gifts and win raffle items which include gift baskets, televisions and microwaves.
