Join Commissioner Bermudez at 2nd annual Back-to-School Bash

MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez is hosting his 2nd annual Back-to-School Bash, with two community events dedicated to helping students and families prepare for the upcoming school year. These events will take place on Saturday, July 27, at Hialeah Gardens Branch Library, 13451 NW 107th Ave., Hialeah Gardens, FL 33018, from 1 to 4 p.m., and the following Saturday, August 3, at International Mall, 1455 NW 107 Avenue, Doral, FL 33172, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To support education and ensure that all District 12 students start the school year equipped for success, Commissioner Bermudez will be providing essential school supplies and bookbags. He will be joined by several community partners, including the University of Miami School of Medicine Pediatric Mobile Clinic, which will administer vaccinations to students free of charge. There will be additional community resources provided by Frost Science Museum, Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program, Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS), and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR). The Miami-Dade Public Library System will provide a number of activities, including storytelling, arts and crafts, and more. Admission is free, and supplies are available on a first come, first served basis.
