County donating surplus vehicles to Florida Department of Corrections
(MIAMI, FL) – Miami-Dade County is donating seven of its “surplus” vehicles to the Florida Department of Corrections for use in support of its Miami-Dade County correctional facilities, thanks to a resolution sponsored by Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz and approved by the County Commission on Dec. 15.
The vehicles being donated range in age from 8 to 13 years and are considered obsolete.
“These vehicles no longer serve a useful purpose for the County, but the Florida Department of Corrections can use them to help them operate correctional institutions located in our County,” Commissioner Diaz said.
