(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

(MIAMI, March 31, 2023) – As part of National Autism Awareness Day, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) along Metro-Dade Firefighter's Local 1403, Miami-Dade Police, Doral Police, Coral Gables Police, City of Miami Police, Hialeah Police, Medley Police, North Miami Police, Miami-Dade Schools Police, FIU Police, UM-NSU-CARD, and Growing For Inclusion will join forces in support of Autism Awareness in Riding for the Cause on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. 
 
The 4th Annual Autism Bike Ride is pushing the boundaries this year. Starting at the MDFR Headquarters Training Facility located in Doral, FL, cyclists will choose between two different routes: a 40-mile ride through the streets of Miami-Dade County paced at 18-21 mph, and a shorter 12-mile ride through Doral, paced at 14-17 mph, for the more casual, but equally as important, supporters. 
 
There will also be a Kids' Bike Safety Event starting at 8:30 a.m., where children participating in the event can bring their bikes and will get fitted with a new helmet if they do not have one to join the celebration safely. Kids will also have an opportunity to learn about bike safety.
