(MIAMI, August 5, 2013) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) and the Dade County Firemen's Benevolent Association will be moonlighting as waiters at the Doral Carolina Alehouse on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. to raise money for the families of the Prescott 19, who lost their lives in the line of duty this past June.
MDFR firefighters will swap out their fire gear for aprons to serve customers for the cause. A large portion of the proceeds from the night's festivities will go straight to the total donation for the families.
Often called the "Arizona Hot Shots", the Prescott 19 was an elite group of firefighters who specialized in wildland firefighting.
