(MIAMI, February 6, 2015) – On Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 10 a.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue will be honoring the meritorious efforts of the men and women who perform above and beyond the call of duty during the 15th annual Medal Day Ceremony. The ceremony will take place at the MDFR Training Center, 9300 NW 41 Street in Doral, FL.
Those being honored will be recognized in categories such as the Life Saving Award and the Bronze Medal of Valor, among others. The Bronze Medal of Valor is the third highest honor awarded to MDFR personnel for performing in the presence of personal danger and going above and beyond the ordinary call of duty.
Family members, elected officials, local police and fire chiefs from the entire South Florida area will be in attendance to witness this award ceremony.
