(Miami, September 22, 2015) – In support of the preparation for hurricanes and other hazards, Miami-Dade County's Office of Emergency Management is sponsoring a free 3-part training to the community at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's training facility, 9300 NW 41 St., Doral, to provide survival and response skills during times of a community wide disaster. The training will take place Thursday, Sept. 24, through Sunday, Sept. 27.
Students will learn skills such as identifying area hazards, working as a team to apply search and rescue techniques, basic fire suppression strategies and fire safety measures, and managing resources in medical response operations.
