Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to host Annual Florida Rescue Challenge 2022 at its Training Facility in Doral

(MIAMI, Nov. 18, 2022) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR), in partnership with North American Vehicle Rescue Association (NAVRA), will be hosting the Annual Florida Rescue Challenge 2022 at its Training Facility in Doral, Florida on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Working alongside with NAVRA, MDFR is proud to bring this FREE, unique event to Miami-Dade County, and to host it right in our backyard. This annual, hands-on, educational competition event gives an opportunity for the competing teams of first responders from across the USA, Canada and Europe to further improve their skills to better serve their communities.

During the two-day challenge, rescue teams will participate in real-life, team-based scenario training exercises designed to promote good team dynamics, improve communication, and increase rescue scene proficiency.

If you have never seen the Vehicle Extrication or the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Challenges, you are in for a treat! This educational competition event is a great opportunity for members of the community and their families to come out to cheer on and see the first responders in action, all while taking advantage of the many fun-filled, family-friendly activities available during the event.

The Annual Florida Rescue Challenge 2022 will showcase:

  • Vehicle Extrication Team Challenge
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) Medical Team Challenge
  • Rapid Intervention Team Challenge
  • Lectures, Workshops & Hands-On Training
  • Family-friendly activities: bounce houses for the children, food trucks, vendor displays, prizes, demonstrations, music and more.

Preparing the Vehicle Rescuers of Tomorrow, NAVRA is a non-profit organization that prepares today’s firefighters and road rescuers for the extrication challenges of tomorrow through training, education, and competition.
