Wells Fargo hosts Corporate Day of Service at Miami-Dade Parks
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr., District 13, to Supply Paint and Supplies
(MIAMI, September 19, 2014) – Wells Fargo will host a corporate volunteer day at Miami-Dade Parks’ Amelia Earhart Park and Ruben Dario Park, providing an opportunity for its employees to give back to the community through service. On Saturday, September 20, 2014, Wells Fargo will close its branches at noon so that employees can take part in the day of service from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. The volunteer event is part of Wells Fargo’s Weekend of Service, where more than 1,000 Wells Fargo team members will be volunteering at more than 50 volunteer events in South Florida throughout the weekend.
The project at Amelia Earhart Park will include priming and painting a 270-foot wide wall that borders the park, landscaping, weeding, mulching, and park clean-up. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr., District 13, has partnered with Miami-Dade Parks and Wells Fargo by supplying all of the paint and painting supplies to help beautify areas of Amelia Earhart Park, one of the largest parks in his district.
The project at Ruben Dario Park will include painting the interior and exterior of the learning center, re-striping the parking lot, painting speed bumps and fencing, and overall park clean-up.
