The Deering Estate at Cutler's Living Artist Concert Series February Concert features "Black Heritage in Classical Music"
(MIAMI, February 3, 2013) – For music enthusiasts, the Deering Estate Chamber Ensemble presents superb concerts intimately set in the historic Stone House Ballroom. Internationally acclaimed musicians collaborate with world-renowned guest composers, artists, and talented youth performers as part of the Deering Estate at Cutler’s Living Artist Concert Series, Piano Master Series and Master Classes. The Deering Estate Chamber Ensemble includes: Laura Wilcox (Violist), Dr. José R. López (Pianist), and Ross Harbaugh (Cellist).
In celebration of Black History Month, the concert on Sunday, February 23rd, 2014, “Black Heritage in Classical Music,” will feature violinist, Kelly Hall in works by L.V. Beethoven, Jose White, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor with guest composer/violinist, Jessie Montgomery.
The cost is $25 for adults & $12 for students (Grades K-12 with Student I.D.) Tickets can be purchased online for an additional fee or by calling the Deering Estate Ticket Office at 305-235-1668 x 233. Concerts begin at 7:15 pm; Meet the Artist Reception at 6:30 pm in the Stone House Ballroom.
