Tactical Exercise Hosted by MDPD
The Miami-Dade Police Department and United States Customs & Border Protection Air & Marine are hosting a full-scaled training exercise on our waterways in collaboration with United States Coast Guard, National Park Service, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, City of Miami Fire Rescue, Coral Gables Police Department, and Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission.
This training is part of our ongoing commitment to the community to ensure their safety in the event of a situation of this magnitude. This exercise is comprised of several scenarios to include hostile vessel takeover, where participating agencies conduct static and boarding exercises. The mission goal is to test our ability to merge our federal, state, and local maritime resources during a possible mass destructive event.
