On September 11, 2001, many lives were lost to terrorist attacks upon the World Trade Center, the United States Pentagon, and the crashing of United Airlines Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Our nation mourned for the innocent lives lost and those heroes that gave theirs saving others. This year marks the 21st anniversary of this tragic event. It is important to that we remain united as a community, as a county, and a nation to send a strong message, “We Will Never Forget.”
The Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue Departments, along with the U.S. Southern Command will host a remembrance ceremony for all those law enforcement officers, firefighters and military personnel that gave their all.
We ask everyone to join us in this solemn ceremony to show that Miami-Dade County, “Will Never Forget.”
