The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Investiture Ceremony for Director Stephanie V. Daniels, will take place at PortMiami, Terminal J, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. She will be sworn into office by the Eleventh Judicial District Chief Judge, the Honorable Nushin G. Sayfie, in the presence of family, fellow officers, past MDPD Directors, and the community. On November 8, 2023, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced her selection, of then Interim Director Daniels, to be the Director of MDPD. The Board of County Commissioners unanimously confirmed the Mayor's selection on December 12, 2023. “For months, Director Daniels has led our Miami-Dade Police Department with excellence, demonstrating both her decades of experience and a deep sense of duty. As a proven and respected leader, I am proud to swear her in as she continues to serve our community and lead the department into its future,” said Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. Please join us as Director Daniels is sworn into office to lead one of the largest police departments in the United States.
