On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 2:54 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) units received a call of an active shooting taking place in the northbound lanes on northbound State Road 826 (Palmetto Expressway) north of State Road 25 (Okeechobee Road).  Upon their arrival, units discovered the victim, later identified as Timothy Starks Jr. Nissan Altima, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Hialeah Fire Rescue responded and determined that the victim was deceased. The victim's family, alongside MDPD Homicide Bureau detectives, will be pleading for the assistance of the community to aid with this investigation.
