As part of our continued effort to provide a safe and secure environment for our residents and visitors during the holiday season, Director Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez III will kick off the Miami-Dade Police Department’s (MDPD) annual Holiday Crime Initiative. During this initiative, uniformed and non-uniformed police officers will conduct surveillances and high-visibility patrols throughout Miami-Dade County, focusing in and around major malls, shopping centers, and other areas that experience increased traffic during the holiday season. In addition, the Department will promote important crime prevention tips and social media campaigns such as, “Lock it or Lose it” and “See Something, Say Something.” Members of the media are welcome to attend.
