QR cards to help solve homicide cases. |

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), is launching a first of its kind, palm card investigative flyer that leverages technology to assist in solving cases. Solving cases requires the help from members of our community and MDPD detectives regularly engage the public to assist with information on investigations. This enhanced method will allow anyone with information on a case, to help by simply scanning a QR code with their mobile device. Each card will highlight various ongoing investigations and include the victim’s name, photo, case number, date of incident, Crime Stoppers information and a scannable QR code. Additionally, MDPD Neighborhood Resource Units will be visiting our business community to visibly place a QR code sticker in participating establishments across our county. MDPD is fully vested in protecting residents and visitors of Miami-Dade County and together we can accomplish more. Media is welcome to attend.
