MDPD Moves To Electronic Citations
eCitation Roll-Out
|
|
The Miami-Dade Police Department continues to strive to embrace technology as a tool to better service the residents of Miami-Dade County. We have introduced our officers with the new eCitation program and have begun the implementation phase this week. Through the use of electronic citation technology, the Miami-Dade Police Department can reach its goal of providing quality service in a courteous, efficient, and accessible manner. The eCitation program is an extension of the eCrash software, provided by LexisNexis Corporation, which officers have been using to create crash reports. This allows program compatibility and the ability to cross reference driver and vehicle information on official reports.
Please join us as one of our officers conducts a demonstration on how the eCitation program functions inside the police cars.
Media is welcome to attend.
