The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a domestic related murder.

 According to investigators, uniform patrol units were dispatched to the victim’s residence to check on her welfare. While inside the house, officers noticed the scent of cleaning products and saw open cleaning containers in the victim's bedroom. Apparent bones were also found inside a trash bin in front of the residence. Sasha Gonzalez and Yancel Castillo were detained and transported to the Homicide Bureau to be interviewed by detectives. During the interviews, detectives learned that the victim was asleep in her bedroom when she was suffocated to death with a trash bag. The day following the murder, the victim’s body was burned on the side yard. Both Sasha Gonzalez and Yancel Castillo were arrested and charged.
