Armed Robbery

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau, is investigating an incident that occurred at the above location. According to investigators, the victims were parked when two subjects driving a white van pulled in front of them and blocked their vehicle’s path. Subject#1, the driver, exited the van pointing a gun at the victims and ordering them out of the vehicle. Complying with the subject’s demands, the passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to protect his children. While removing them the subject then proceeded to snatch a gold chain from around the victim’s neck. The subject then approached the victim’s vehicle and attempted to remove the vehicle keys, unsuccessful the subjects fled eastbound on NW 73 Street.

Subsequently the van was located in the area of NW 63 Court and 21 Avenue. A records check of the vehicle revealed it to be stolen from the City of Miami on March 31, 2015.

The victims were not injured during this incident.

Surveillance video captured the image of one subject and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the individuals. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site under case PD150528196570.
