Homeowner Shoots and Kills Burglar |

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is conducting an investigation where a homeowner shot and killed a burglar in northwest Miami-Dade. According to investigators, on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers were responding to a possible burglary in progress at 7237 NW 19 Avenue. The homeowner arrived prior to the officers and began to inspect the exterior of the home, when a confrontation occurred with the burglar. The homeowner produced a firearm and shot the subject. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the subject to Ryder Trauma where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the homeowner is fully cooperating with detectives.
