Arrests Made in Illegal Business Operation


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department,  Midwest District, Gang Unit arrested 11 individuals in relation to an illegal business operation.

According to investigators, several complaints and tips were received about a restaurant that was operating as a nightclub.  These detectives, in conjunction with the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) and the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (ABT) launched an investigation into the allegations.  The investigation revealed that a criminal organization was using the business to sell alcohol without a liqour license and narcotics.

In addition to the arrests made, several weapons, U.S. currency, alcohol, and narcotics were seized.
