Got mulch? Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department makes free mulch available from residents' recycled Christmas trees
(MIAMI, February 2, 2015) – The Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department (PWWM) is making free mulch available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. The mulch offered is made from recycled Christmas trees and is a fragrant reminder of the holiday season. Residents must bring their own bags or containers, and shovels or other tools, to receive the mulch.
Mulch is currently available at the following locations, open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
- West Perrine - 16651 SW 107 Ave.
- Eureka Drive - 9401 SW 184 St.
- Moody Drive - 12970 SW 268 St.
- Sunset Kendall - 8000 SW 107 Ave.
- West Little River - 1830 NW 79 St.
- North Dade Landfill - 21500 NW 47 Ave.
- Golden Glades - 140 NW 160 St.
Mulch will only be made available to residents who receive waste collection services from PWWM – those who live in unincorporated Miami-Dade County and the municipalities of Aventura, Cutler Bay, Doral, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest and Sunny Isles Beach.
