Traffic advisory: Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department to conduct needed maintenance repairs, close lane on William M. Powell Bridge on Rickenbacker Causeway

(MIAMI, February 25, 2015) – The Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department (PWWM) will be performing maintenance repairs to a bridge joint on the William M. Powell Bridge of the Rickenbacker Causeway on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.

The work will take place on the two westbound vehicle travel lanes (exiting the causeway to the mainland) just west of the apex of the bridge, closest to the dedicated bicycle lane. Work will take place between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. During the maintenance activities, one vehicular travel lane and the bicycle lane will remain open at all times. While the timing of the work has been scheduled to avoid the rush hour period, motorists may experience traffic delays.
