Traffic advisory: Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department to conduct needed maintenance repairs, close lane on West Bridge on Rickenbacker Causeway

(MIAMI, February 26, 2015) – The Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department (PWWM) will be performing maintenance repairs to a bridge joint on the West Bridge (last bridge before the I-95 north/south flyover) of the Rickenbacker Causeway on Friday, February 27, 2015.

The work will take place on the two westbound vehicle travel lanes (exiting the causeway to the mainland) at the east end of the bridge, closest to the inside concrete barrier wall. Work will take place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. During the maintenance activities, one vehicular travel lane and the bicycle lane will remain open at all times. While the timing of the work has been scheduled to avoid the rush hour period, motorists may experience traffic delays.
