Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez lifts curfew Monday, opens beaches Wednesday

Today Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez announced that he will lift the countywide curfew, effective as of  Monday, June 8, 2020.

In addition, beaches will be allowed to open on Wednesday, June 10. This early notice gives coastal municipalities time to prepare for re-opening these spaces.

As with all re-openings following earlier closures due to COVID-19, beaches must follow the regulations set in the County’s New Normal Guidelines. To read those rules, click here.
