Miami-Dade County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program continues to accept applications

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) will be able to accept additional applications to the Emergency Rental Assistance Program 2 (ERAP 2) beginning at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday October 21, 2020.
Based on funding availability, ERAP 2 may be able to provide rental assistance for three (3) months of unpaid rent up to a maximum of $5,000. Basic qualifications include current household annual incomes of less than 120% of Area Median Income (AMI) (for a single person, $76,800), income disrupted due to COVID-19, and evidence of a valid lease.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez said, “Our goal is to help as many people as possible, and I am pleased that we are able to continue to accept applications for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.”
PHCD Director Michael Liu stated, “The easiest, fastest, and most accurate way to apply is by going online. We also have a full staff ready to answer questions by phone and email.”
