Miami-Dade Transit extends deadline for Special Pass renewals through December

MIAMI ( May 21, 2021 ) —

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announces the expiration of all Special Pass Program EASY Cards has been extended. Special Pass holders now have until December 30, 2021 to renew their EASY Card.

Miami-Dade Transit riders who have one of the following Special Passes will now have until December 30, 2021 to renew:

Golden Passport (ONLY those ages 64 years and younger)
Patriot Passport
Discount Fare
Commuter Reduced
Transit Mobility
It’s important to note that Golden Passport holders 65 and older do not need to take any further action.

Riders can renew their card in the following ways:

Online via the Golden/Patriot Passport EASY Card Application
Send an email to [email protected]
In person at EASY Card Customer Service offices

As of Thursday, May 20, the following EASY Card Customer Service offices have reopened and are accepting walk-in customers:

Golden Passport Office
- Stephen P. Clark Center (First Floor), 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL 33128
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except County-observed holidays.
- Golden Passport Hotline: 786-469-5028 or at [email protected].
- Only customers requesting service will be permitted inside the office.
City of Miami
- Little Haiti (6301 NE 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33138)
- Overtown (1490 NW 3rd Ave., Suite 112-B, Miami, FL 33136)
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. excluding holidays, accepting walk-ins.
City of Miami Beach (by appointment only)
- Miami Beach Customer Service Center (1755 Meridian Avenue, First Floor, Miami Beach, FL 33139)
- Appointments can be made online or by calling 305-673-7420.
- Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. excluding holiday, by appointment only.

Masks continue to be required, per federal mandate, on transit property. Customers wishing to renew in-person will need to wear a face mask and practice safe social distancing.
